The Middletown Outreach Department is proud to welcome Mr. Keith Stokes of the RI Black Heritage Society on Tuesday, February 6th. He will be sharing a presentation entitled “Before Malcolm and Martin, Civil Rights in RI during the 18th and 19th centuries.” Mr. Stokes has served in various roles in his four decades of public service to Rhode Island. He currently is the Director of Business and Economic Development for the city of Providence and serves as the Vice President of the 1696 Heritage Group. The event is free, but space is limited.
